#Main Menu Welcome to where I host both my creative portfolio and work in progress portfolio. Any works in the creative portfolio will be found either on this program or in a google drive folder, (link:'linked here')[(goto-url:'https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vLWoaLoPhbwBq2wqK2E9jbI0a6ky4RfE?usp=drive_link')], to be reviewed at your leisure. (Button:)[[Creative Portfolio]] These are my finished projects that, while may actively being refined, is work I'm proud of. These works reflect years of cumulative growth, and will be easily accesible through this website. As I continue to flesh out this program, I'll also include important documents that helped me in my design process, available through clicking around if you want to learn more about any one project. (Button:)[[Work in Progress Portfolio]] These are projects that I have yet to 'complete', that I will not be sharing publicly. Instead, I will include design documents, pictures, pitches, synopses, so you have an idea of what's bubbling under the surface. If you're interested in learning more (or even helping by getting me a second pair of eyes), shoot me an email :) (Button:)[[What is this?]] (enchant:?link,(transition-depart:"dissolve")+(t8n-time:1.5s)) This is a living document! As it continues to be added to, feel free to peruse :) This is my WIP portfolio, where I am putting references to the projects yet completed, but I'm still interested in telling you about. Peruse at your own danger! [[Visitors]] [[Deiowei World Bible]] #Welcome brave adventurer! So ye wish to learn of my exploits? First you must solve my riddles three! ...just kidding! Though if you are interested in for that interactive dungeon crawler experience, you've come to the right place! I've done a lot of different kinds of creative projects, so here are a couple options to click around. Again, if you'd like to see a google folder, it's Now here are your options for exploration: - [[My Gaming Portoflio]]. This contains my projects in Twine (this program you are currently using), and my design documents for board games! - [[My Writing Portfolio]]. This contains my short stories written in academic or personal, or professional settings! - [[My Miscellaneous Portfolio]] (link:'linked here')[(goto-url:'file:///Users/williamsonmader/Downloads/Tarrogon.html')] Twine is an open source tool that allows one to create a non-linear story, or, an interactive experience where people choose where to go at any one time. You have already experiencing this by navigating with what twine calls 'buttons', giving a visual indicator for a new place to navigate to. (Button:)[[Like This]]This is a place one can navigate to in a Twine interactive experience. Twine has the ability to register these experiences as different variables, allowing for a wide amount of variety even with a given amount of restriction. I've used this in the past to create a health bar and dice rolling mechanic in a game, but I've also created games that encourage players to roll dice in real life as well. What matters most is what kind of experience you hope to give to your audience. In those instances, my Twine games diverged becuase one of them was a fantasy adventure that actually was an interactive eldritch horror experience, while another was a more classic 'Fighting Fantasy' inspired kind of game. You can find access to both of those games [[here|Creative Portfolio]]. If you would like to navigate back to the menu, click [[here|WELCOME]], or you can go back to the last passage by clicking the back arrow at the top left. Insert Links (link: "click here")[(goto-url: 'http://www...')]Welcome to my gaming portfolio! I've managed to make a lot of programs through twine which will be linked here, along with design documents of board games I've created or collaborated on. Enjoy! [[Mount Olympus]] - These are instructions on how to play an alternate game of rock, paper, scissors, designed for three or more players! [[Wizard Gambling]] [[Vines]] [[Urinal Politics]] Welcome to the writing section! I started my writing career as a huge musical theater and play nerd. Some of the first things I 'wrote' were Dungeons and Dragon's ideas, ways to plan encounters for future players. At the time, I didn't even know the rules, but I liked playing pretend most of all! (link:'linked here')[(goto-url:'https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vLWoaLoPhbwBq2wqK2E9jbI0a6ky4RfE?usp=drive_link')] is the google folder to access each of the documents. If you'd like some background on specific pieces, click the links below! - [[Visitor]] - [[The First Story]] - [[Fender Has a Secret]] - [[Fertilizer]]This is the part of my portfolio with finished projects that don't easily fit into either writing or gaming. For example, (link:'linked here')[(goto-url:'https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ix5KwHY22sfaZ5DvqK0pGoFLbLgn9jeT5QC9FqkQPPc/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.v457y2oo3p8q')] is where I actually planned out this website, including the color spectrum, what sections I wanted to have, and my associated goals. Feel free to look through! #Mount Olympus Order of operations 1. Elimination round - majority groups eliminated, no match players eliminated (unless it’s a 1 v remainder full group match (INDIVIDUALITY WIN)), if there is a split equal number match then RPS applies (rock matches beat scissor matches, etc) 2. Ascension round (repeated until 1v1) 3. Climax (1v1) - traditional rules apply. If players cannot resolve match in three throws then both are disqualified. *All or nothing(if a 1v1 ties at winning points at the time of point distribution, 1 more round is played, to decide the winner) + redemption (when one person is at 4 points and other is 2 or below, if the person with 2 or less wins Climax round, play one more round. If 2pt or less wins again then they win the game overall. possible outcomes, not guaranteed* 4. Point distribution - 2pts to winner, 1 pts to second player If a group of 3 has no matches, all are disqualified Co created: Sunny Mader, Ciara Lucey, Mariana Merlos, Carter Beaudette Visitor is a short story I've made a couple iterations on, that I'm actually curretnly writing into a novella! To learn more about that process, you can click [[here|Visitors]] The short story with the larger strokes is based off of my world that I've been adding lore to for the better part of the last five or six years. You can see me talk more about that [[here|Deiowei World Bible]]! Visitors is a novella that I am 60 pages into currently! It is built off of the short story in my creative portfolio currently, [[Visitor]]. Give it a read if you're interested! <img src="https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/b9/92/0e/b9920e699fa818c1c4625dbb9a1f0425.jpg" width="500" height="600"> This is about as much as I feel comfortable sharing about the world Deiowei, which I have been carving away for more than a couple years now.
